The Secret Path to the Copper-Colored Mountain: Jigme Lingpa on Rebirth in Padmasambhava’s Pure Land

Abstract

The Copper-Colored Mountain is the pure land of the famous 8th century tantric master Padmasambhava. One way Buddhist practitioners may be reborn in this pure land is by making aspiration prayers. This lecture will introduce one of the most famous of these aspiration prayers, composed by the 18th century treasure revealer Jigme Lingpa.
